Our client was looking for a QA partner, who in the short term could help them address the gap in unit/regression test coverage. They also wanted help maturing their QA function so it can support the scaling and future growth of the company long term. It was important to the client that they invest in their QA function, support the growth in the development team and prevent a bottleneck during development efforts.

CelticQA supported the clients strategic IT initiatives, expanded the automation coverage, as well as worked with the inhouse team on a QA roadmap that ensures their QA function can support future digital growth. This included but was not limited to:
- Assessing existing automation and providing feedback and recommendations to enhance what is currently being used.
- Leading an effort to increase the testing coverage of the ‘legacy functionality is critical to the client’s systems.
- Expanding the existing test coverage to include more API validations.
- Building an API test framework in Visual Studio/C# and restSharp to test multiple requests and responses from both SOAP and REST API’s.
- Deploying test cases to CI pipeline, automating the testing of QA environments, and automating status reporting to key stakeholders.
- Mentoring the client’s team on best practices in QA

Results
- Successfully automated hundreds of UI regression tests. Using the POM C# and Selenium automation framework.
- Developed and Implemented an API Test Automation Framework, using C#, Selenium, RestSharp
- Created hundreds of automated API test cases, providing full test coverage for REST and SOAP API test cases running against several test environments.
- CelticQA worked with the development and Integration team leads to introduce a formal Unit Testing approach for the dev teams including the roll out of Sonarcube to enable the teams to measure unit testing coverage.
